Teaching Philosophy 

Safe, Secure, Yoga Experience 

My name is Jonathan and my classes are designed to create a strong foundation of yoga knowledge, strength and flexibility. 

Yoga based on Ashtanga principals. Yoga is a way to reach a sense of calm through breath work, postures (asana) and intention. This inward journey needs a sense of enquiry and a desire to free the mind. 

With over 8 years of experience, my teaching style is relaxed, professional and mindful.

Throughout my 20's and 30's I was an active runner, each year completing numerous 10k's and half marathons...

My late 30's and early 40's my passion was Judo, achieving 1st Kyu Brown Belt...

From the moment I tried yoga I was hooked and I've never looked back. I am on a spiritual and physical journey.  I've participated in numerous workshops with some of the most experienced Ashtanga yoga teachers, such as Philippa Asher and David Garrigues. In 2022 I completed a 200 Hour John Scott Yoga Teacher Training Course with Claire Berghorst. The comprehensive course covered Anatomy, Postures, Adjustments and Philosophy.

Class Experience

All abilities Welcome! Anyone with the right intension can do yoga!

You do not need any experience to come to my yoga class. In terms of the type of class I run, then it is physical, and it will challenge you.  Think more Americano - than Decaf Latte! 

The beauty of yoga unfolds when your movement is relaxed, and breathing controlled, and you find yourself in a great mind space. 

The classes are designed to help you direct your energy positively, leaving a lasting sense of calm and reflection.

Wednesday: 6:30pm   Duration 1 Hr 15 minutes (Max 8 People)                               Ashtanga Vinyasa
