Finding the right yoga teacher can take a little time. What type of class are you looking for? Ashtanga is a dynamic form of classical Indian yoga.  Everyone is welcome to find out whether this style of yoga is for you.. I look forward to welcoming you to the class.. 

 

 

 

Movement - Breath - Focus 

Based on Ashtanga Primary Series postures, I will help you become familiar with the different asana and the correct breathing technique. 

Breath Work 

Breathing in harmony with your body can help change the way your body feels. Breathing can also help support mindfulness, a space where there is no past, no future - just the here and now.

My class includes prompts and ideas to help you connect to your breath whilst practicing.

Philosophy 

My continued interest in Ashtanga Yoga is driven by a unquenchable thirst for feeling and thinking beyond our everyday life.  Ashtanga literally means "eight-limbs" , and it provides a holistic system, including breathwork, yoga postures, meditation and philosophy. 

Focus

With an incredible amount of information hitting us on a minute by minute basis life can feel all too over whelming.  It gets harder to relax.  What's missing is that off switch. Yoga gives us this, and like any muscle strengthened over time, it helps us to find calm when we need it most.
